Kabuki Mask Adaptations

7th Grade scholars reviewing the arts and culture of Japan learned about the fascinating elements of Kabuki Theater.  Colors represent personality traits and also emotions the character may be experiencing, such as red for passion or heroism and green to indicate the supernatural.  Scholars created mask designs inspired by their study of Kabuki theater to represent qualities in their individual personalities.  Enjoy the slideshow below with more images created on styrofoam plates.
