Hero's Quest Air Ship
High School Visual Arts class explored a Hero's Quest through the story of Don Quixote de la Mancha.
Imaginative sculptures were reviewed, such as the over-sized sculpture Knife Ship by Claes Oldenburg and the amazing bronze airships created by a regional artist, Dennis Smith.

Wicker Caning, used in basketry, served as the armature or inner frame-work for the vessel.
Scholars also prepared a variety of symbols related to Don Quixote and the various phases of a Hero's Quest including a compass, keys, lantern, phoenix bird, clock and sextant.
