Constitution Day Celebration Artwork
In preparing for the Constitution Day Assembly, Advanced Art scholars created a large installation, "Face of Allegiance." 50 "faces" were attached to a board, representing the 50 States in the United States of America
In two days, the class created more than 50 papier mache' faces (using plastic face molds). The faces were then attached to the board--in the same arrangement as the stars on the American Flag. The entire surface was painted white and then acrylic paints were used for the Red stripes, the Blue and Stars.
The installation served as an inspiring stage backdrop during the Constitution Day Assembly and was exhibited with other patriotic works. The inspiring artwork continues to generate a very positive response.
